Who are we? |

My father and I Built a PC in early June 2009. Once we had all the bits it took us a couple of hours to put together. Another 20 minutes to install Linux and connect to the internet and viola! Up and running. I reckon we could put one together a lot faster now. I was really surprised by how much faster it was than my regular laptop which is rapidly grinding to a halt. Windows Vista is just too much for the memory and resources that my laptop has to offer to the extent that it must take about 10 minutes just to start up. Linux Ubuntu is an operating system that has worked well for us and so it's included in the kit. There are stacks of magazines and books out there which describe the process and many more snippets on the web. But we found that it took a lot of digging around in various places to get the simple explanation. That's why we put the kit together and set up this website. A one-stop-shop for all those wanting to build their first PC. This website will not only be a reference for all those who have bought out kit but hopefully for the established PC builder to contribute some of their knowledge too. |
